EARLY RAF MAIL FROM BURMA AND CHINA IN 1942, AND FROM INDIA 1939-42.
Some examples of RAF mail from Burma during the retreat from South East Asia in 1942, and from the RAF element stationed at Chengtu in Chinaare presented. These are accompanied by a number of RAF items from India early in the war, when a number of (now scarce) ad hoc handstamps were used, before the security bureaucracy took a firm hold on postal censorship. Examples of R24, R40, R41 and R57 are presented.
